At The Brooklyn Museum there is an exhibit up called, The Black List. It will be shown from November 21, 2009 to March 29, 2009.
While it is not the most visually stimulating event, it is informative and educational (those are the same, huh?). I have no idea why they picked these people and not others. It was eye opening even when I like to think I am hyper-conscious and am more informed than the average person, but still there were new faces to me in this exhibition. I definitely recommend sitting through the videos and thumbing through the books in order to get more from the exhibition which I will do this weekend.
